The Uses of Sorrow
Someone I loved once gave me a box full of darkness.
It took me years to understand that this, too, was a gift.
Mary Oliver

If you have been gifted a box full of darkness – whether as the consequence of the death of someone close to you, the ending of an important relationship, the folding of a business or something less tangible like the loss of trust – it has been my experience that the tools of the Grief Recovery Method, can help you rediscover, or perhaps even discover for the first time, the richness of life.

I am based in Scotland serving the Highlands and Islands and beyond. I work both face to face and online, offering the Grief Recovery Method nationally and internationally.

My background is as a paediatric nurse having trained at Great Ormond Street and subsequently worked with children with cancer and HIV. I have an academic background in Study of Religions, African and Asian Medical Related Studies and Theology, and I researched healing in Ethiopia for my doctoral thesis. I am also professional storyteller and funeral celebrant. I came to the Grief Recovery Method after the break down of an important relationship, complex court proceedings and the ending of a business. The Grief Recovery Method has given me the tools to open this box of darkness and rediscover the gift of a vital and fulfilled life. I would be delighted to take you through this programme so that you too can reconnect with the meaningfulness and vitality of life.
